Half of all calendar mistakes come from the same thing: booking an appointment on a day the salon is closed or with someone who has the day off. It's fixed by setting up four things properly.
The salon's hours
In Settings › Salon hours you tick the days of the week you open and the opening and closing times. In the same place you add bank holidays and closing days; there are buttons to load the year's national holidays. On those days the calendar shows as closed.
The team's shifts
In Settings › Team you add each professional with their working days, their shift and their break. An appointment outside their shift or on top of their break won't be saved without a warning.
The gap between services
You can leave a few minutes between appointments to tidy up and get the station ready. The calendar respects it, and so does online booking: it only offers times that leave that gap.
What you gain
- Nobody books online on a bank holiday or at three in the afternoon if you close at midday.
- A professional's holiday doesn't end with a client waiting at the door.
- Whoever answers the phone doesn't need to know the whole team's shifts by heart.
