Placing an order usually means walking round the stockroom, phone in hand, noting what is missing. If your stock is up to date, that list already exists.
How it is worked out
The suggested order gathers the products that are at or below their minimum stock, groups them by supplier and suggests the quantity needed to get back to double the minimum.
How to use it
- Open “Products” and go to the suggested order.
- Check the quantities: you know whether a promotion or a quiet month is coming.
- Copy the text and send it to the supplier through whatever channel you use.
- When it arrives, record the stock in for each product.
Each product's minimum is the lever. If you always order too late, raise it; if you have stock left over, lower it.
