A salon has two stocks mixed together: what you sell and what you use on clients. The second one is what gets out of control, because nobody “sells” a tube of hair colour. That is why TonoLab’s stock records both.
Every product, with its minimum
Add each product with its price, its stock, its use (professional, sale or both) and its minimum. When stock falls below that minimum, the product is flagged in the list and shows up in the notifications.
Five types of movement
- Stock in: an order has arrived.
- Salon use: you have used it while working.
- Sale: taken off automatically when you charge at the POS.
- Waste: it has broken, expired or gone missing.
- Stock count: a count; the quantity you enter becomes the stock.
Each row has a + button and a − button to note the movement without opening the product.
The routine that keeps it accurate
- Note the stock in on the day the order arrives, with the delivery note in front of you.
- Record salon use at closing time, or when you open a new container.
- Do a quick count once a month with the “Stock count” movement.

TonoLab groups what is below its minimum by supplier and suggests how much to order. You copy the text and send it.
